"Well done!"

With these words, Antony Lellouche commented one of the first hand we played together at the recent Fair of Lyon. Unfortunately for me, the tone of voice of Antony was totally sarcastic. And it was deserved. Caller a bet on the flop with a gutshot out of position, better the turn and river checker when you have missed everything is not exactly a world class play ...

Beyond the joke, these few minutes at the table of Antony, who has just reached the final table of the EPT San Remo, I learned a lot about who is widely considered the best player in France live (if you exclude David Benyamine , a resident of Las Vegas).

This is probably not the most technical player of Team Winamax but Antony sees, observes, knows everything. His eyes are constantly in search of any sign, even a weakness or strength, could let an opponent unfortunate betrayal. This posture of observer which "scans" the whole table is not unlike the eyes of some players Phil Ivey ... Above and behind, punishment is the same. Aggression without limits and a total lack of fear that could almost pass for unconsciousness with many moderate and strong players who populate the international tournaments.

Several times past close enough to the coronation, it lacks a pile of success to win his first major international title. Maybe today?

GO ANTO!
