Objective perf?

In my previous blog, I recounted how I had set myself the goal of finding a sponsor and I had the means used to achieve my goal. This has now made, and I'm obviously very happy ... but also a little depressed! Curious, no? It happens routinely when j'atteint an important goal for me. Let me explain something vaguely as follows: I have a fairly obsessive personality, able to mentally set me on my goal of a very intense, and when it is finally reached, it creates a big gap! To close it, no better course than to secure a second goal to replace the first ...

My efforts have therefore turned to the pro circuit and the events I will participate. To take full advantage of this windfall of sponsorship, I must make one or more performance to cement my presence and build my bankroll. I'm approaching this period that opens with the right frame of mind.

In my wildest dreams, like most ambitious players, I argue the final table of WSOP, EPT I win, I win a bracelet ... Objective totally unrealistic! Of the ten or so tournaments I could play every year, it is very unlikely that I succeed such a feat. Many factors play against me: the size of fields, the variance inherent in MTTs or lost a coin flip can change everything, the level of game that I have not really been confronted ... I must give a definition of "perf" that is achievable, otherwise I might never reach my goal!

But that also involves a danger to play without an absolute and total commitment to win, despite all reason, I think my chances dimminuer a feat. The opposite is also true: to play without any performance objective, I might not put enough pressure on myself to get the edge that I needed to be overcome. The temptation is great to take the tournament one after the other, without prior expectations, just trying to play the best poker I've ever played so far. With the benefit of the environment and Winamax Team Other pros high-level French, I think I have teammates who can objectively tell me if I'm on the right track or not.

Now, what to do to optimize my chances of success?

- perfect my technique. It is now probably my strong point, but I know I have a few leaks to fill.

- immerse myself in a different level of play. That's probably what I miss most, as the tournaments I am used are small compared to major international events. I count on the team for me to share their experience. Meanwhile, I am trying to replay the episodes of the PPT and EFA.

- play more deep stack tournament. Over the years, I developed an expertise in the game short / medium stack. I choose my spots very well in these configurations. I lack the experience of the game deep in which I managed pretty good during my few attempts (I think the tournaments of the Deep Stack Extravaganza denrière year in Vegas).

- Take the experience of long tournaments. I've done a few tournaments over two days, but none for several days. However, I have some experience in this field thanks to Magic, and tournaments often last three days and require intense concentration.

- Develop my mental strength. This is probably one of the things that gives me more trouble. In the past I have sometimes had a tendency to "explode in flight" in tournaments where I had all the weapons to go very far. I'll joeur to issues that may make your head spin ... The most important and the hardest thing will never think about money.

- anticipating the run with no results. As tournaments are relatively spaced in time, a long slump may be particularly difficult. When I play online, I know it can ill afford to lose more than a few weeks without any performance that does not come to strengthen least my morale. On the pro circuit, an excellent player may fight for months against chance! That

scope of the program is waiting for me. I just found my new obsession! It's going better already ... :-P
